Creme Brulee Presentation! - cjs - 05-15-2010

While personally, I don't want anyone messing with my Classic Creme Brulee, this presentation looked so great, had to share with you all.

And, love the dishes - in my next life I'm going to be born rich instead of so darn good looking.....

Uh, Jean...I'm glad you're so good looking....the link don't work!

Re: Creme Brulee Presentation! - cjs - 05-15-2010

well piddle - will go try something else....
o.k., that should work.

Re: Creme Brulee Presentation! - Gourmet_Mom - 05-15-2010

Very cool! It comes with it's own little handle!!!! And no corners to worry about "fishing out" that last little taste!

Very pretty. What are the two lacy white things? I have have never made creme brulee. Is it like flan?

Re: Creme Brulee Presentation! - cjs - 05-15-2010

That would be a white chocolate butterfly.

Similar, but you sprinkle Turbinado or Demerara sugar and 'burn' it with a torch. The custard is very close to a flan.

Here's one more that I had saved - these kids are so creative.

I need to find the source of the first one for credit also.

Just realized these are the same dishes turned upside down - how clever is that????

Both look great! Shrimp corn dogs. . . . hmmmmmmm. Must get home and play!

Re: Creme Brulee Presentation! - Old Bay - 05-15-2010

Both are really something!! I don't think the white chocolate butterfly is for the home cook!!! WOW!!

Re: Creme Brulee Presentation! - Gourmet_Mom - 05-15-2010

I love the shrimp corn dog idea!

"That would be a white chocolate butterfly." Hmmmm...I would have sworn it was "slices" of coconut. Although, how you'd do that, I have NO idea...LOL!
