Issue/Recipe Corrections - Please Read - cjs - 05-30-2010

I'm starting this thread for any corrections which need to be made in any of the recipes in Cuisine at Home publications.

Let's just leave it for those and discuss any corrections in separate threads. Thanks Everyone.

Issue 76 correction

Hi all, the recipe for Coconut Peach Cobbler in Issue 76 (page 23) contained several errors:

• The filling should include 1 Tbsp. cornstarch, added to the peaches with the sugar, ½ cup of the coconut, and the ginger. If using frozen peaches, completely thaw the fruit to room temperature and use 2 Tbsp. cornstarch instead of 1 Tbsp.
• The amount of buttermilk in the biscuit topping should be ¾ cup.
• The cobbler should be baked 45 minutes before the biscuit topping is brushed with milk and sprinkled with the final ½ cup of coconut, then baked until a toothpick inserted in the center of the biscuit topping comes out clean, about 15 more minutes.

Thanks!

Correction
Just saw this on the eRecipe newsletter -

In issue 81, there was an error in the Lemon Pudding Cakes recipe on page 31. The baking temperature, 350°, was omitted.

Agreed!

This was intended for corrections to recipes if there was an error in the recipe. I'm divided on whether to ditch it. Do we bring it back to the top if an error occurs? It HAS been a while.

I'll save it as a 'favorite' and if needed we can always put it up again. Sound o.k.?

And then, when it happens again, whoever day it is to think can remind me....
