Trader Joe's - Mare749 - 06-21-2010 Can anyone help me find the thread with the discussion about Trader Joe's and what we all like to buy there? I can't seem to find it, but then I'm never any good with the search feature. Re: Trader Joe's - BarbaraS - 06-21-2010 Mare, You may be out of luck. I think that thread is onver 2 years old which is the limit of the search feature. Barbara Re: Trader Joe's - Gourmet_Mom - 06-21-2010 Barbara, you can look back further....just delete all boxes in the range boxes. Maryann, is this it? Trader Joe's I'm skeptical, because you didn't participate in the thread. If you did participate in the thread you're looking for, let me know and I'll search again after dinner. Re: Trader Joe's - chef_Tab - 06-21-2010 Another idea, Maryann, is to go to the Trader Joe's website and check out the flyer for the store you plan to visit. It will have a "shopping list" with stuff itemized and little boxes you can check. I always do this on the rare occasion that I am going to be somewhere that has a Trader Joe's. As an aside, sometimes when folks on this forum mention Trader Joe's, they call it TJ's so you may try searching that as well. Daphne is right about clearing ALL of the range boxes so that your search is over all the years. Some of my routine items are wine, chocolate, cheese, and triple ginger snaps. Re: Trader Joe's - foodfiend - 06-21-2010 My "permanent" TJ's list consists of: multigrain crackers chopped garlic (jar) frozen salmon, tuna frozen potstickers Goyza dipping sauce for potstickers Island soyaki sauce (for marinating tuna steaks) frozen roasted corn frozen roasted bell pepper/ onion mix frozen haricot verts kalamata olives (jar) salsa verde 4-pepper salsa (great for bruschetta) frozen naan chocolate cat (shaped!) cookies Indian meals-in-a-pouch (great for quick lunches) maple syrup mango flavored black tea (great iced tea) blueberry green tea (again, great iced tea) packaged nuts (roasted, not salted, sliced or slivered and much cheaper than grocery store prices) greeting cards! The only item that I've gotten there and haven't liked are the crab cakes. They used to carry crushed ginger which I loved (sure beats peeling and grating!) but haven't stocked it in over a year. Re: Trader Joe's - karyn - 06-21-2010 I also like their premium EVOO (at $7.99 a bottle, I can splurge a bit), and have been going through far more of their frozen, fire-roasted peppers and onions than I thought possible this summer. They're great for omelets, burritos, and pizzas when you're cooking from the freezer. Re: Trader Joe's - foodfiend - 06-21-2010 Karyn, you reminded me that I love the President's Reserve blend of olive oil. And those fire-roasted peppers and onions make breakfast omelets really quick and easy! Oh, and frozen "soycotash" (sp?)-- corn, shelled edamame, and red peppers. Re: Trader Joe's - Mare749 - 06-21-2010 Quote: I don't think that's the one, Daphne because I love to go there so I probably did put in my two cents. Everyone was listing what they like to buy in the thread that I'm thinking of. I'm planning a trip there and want to try some new things. Re: Trader Joe's - Gourmet_Mom - 06-21-2010 I'll look again in the morning. Re: Trader Joe's - piano226 - 06-22-2010 Oh Gosh Trader is basically my favorite store.
