Bracing for possible hurricane - labradors - 10-23-2010

Richard is on the way, just off our coast, and is due to be a category-1 hurricane tomorrow morning, about 8AM. It is very likely that we'll get some of it here, although the direct hit will probably be on Roatan and/or Guanaja - about 30 miles off the coast.

Good luck, Labs! I hope you guys don't get hit too hard. I guess even a category 1 can be pretty destructive in your area. Prayers for a safe 24 hours.

Re: Bracing for possible hurricane - labradors - 10-24-2010

Thanks. In the morning, we'll see what happens. For now, there are two things that could be helpful. One is that Richard has taken an ever-so-slight turn more North. It isn't much, but could mean less impact by the time it passes us. The second thing is that it is night time, again, and the cooler temperatures may take away some of Richard's strength so that it will not have built up quite as much by the time it passes us.

An even more Northward turn, overnight, would be nice, but it's doubtful that it would just turn way over to Cuba, or the like.
