Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - luvnit - 01-04-2011 Just wanted to take a poll of others to see what their cooking style is. Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - cjs - 01-04-2011 Laura, I need clarification on this - I'm a really messy cook, but I also always clean my messy as I work - so what does that make me??? (other than wierd) Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - esgunn - 01-04-2011 Like Jean Said, I am a messy cook, but need to start in a clean kitchen and I try and keep my messes cleaned up as I go. Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - karyn - 01-04-2011 I think we need a third option on the poll. I make a mess as I'm cooking (and it varies how effective I am about cleaning as I work), but have to start and finish with a clean kitchen. Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - Mare749 - 01-04-2011 Karyn's option #3 works for me. Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - Harborwitch - 01-04-2011 It depends! Pretty much destroy the kitchen. It just depends. Of course now I don't have that luxury - there's not enough room to do that. Jean - I thought you were such a neat cook! Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - farnfam - 01-04-2011 OK, I said neat cook but I have to add that it's only because I fill the sink with hot soapy water and throw stuff in there as I go, then Jame comes behind me, washes stuff, wipes counters and puts away stuff (he does this half voluntarily and half cuz he wants to eat). When he's not around to help, I still try to be neat but everything takes waaaay longer. Also, gotta start with a clean work area or I can't think. Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - chef_Tab - 01-04-2011 I am definitely neat. It takes me longer to do everything because I am so careful. Used to drive my mom nuts. I think that's why I get nervous when anyone else works in my kitchen. Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - cjs - 01-04-2011 I finally voted that I'm a messy cook, but I clean up well (as I go) Re: Poll - Are you a neat cook or a messy cook? - luvnit - 01-04-2011 I almost put a middle of the road answer in there, but then I thought everyone would pick that. So I wanted you to make a choice. I am messy too, but I do clean (as I go). Sometimes I have 2-3 messes going during a meal, but once the meal is underway, the clean up begins. Of course I would not leave my kitchen a mess. I have to start with clean counters too. Don't we all? A neat chef I would consider to have a tidier work station at all times. |
