super fine sugar - Chops52 - 03-31-2011

what is super fine sugar? Is it different from powdered, or confectioners', or granulated sugar? A recipe for sherbert that I am following is calling for this.

[Image: 03636CL.jpg] I think that Baker's sugar qualifies as super fine. This is what I use.

That's it. It's much finer than granulated - so it creams more easily and makes for much better quality.

you can put regular granulated sugar in a processor and pluse until it is superfine. then you don't have to buy it.

That's what I've done, Jean. Several of Gina's recipes that I've done calls for it. Worked fine for me.
