Warming Leftover meat - Old Bay - 07-24-2011 This is an addition to my thawing meat on cast iron. We had a leftover, rare, flank steak in the fridge--instead of trying to warm in the microwave, let it warm out of the fridge until cool or room temp. Then heat a cast iron skillet until just warm to the toucn--turn skillet over and place the meat on foil and place on the bottom of the skillet, turn once--very little cooking--still rare or at worst med rare--really works. Delicious!! Re: Warming Leftover meat - Gourmet_Mom - 07-24-2011 Cool tip! Thanks, Bill! Re: Warming Leftover meat - cjs - 07-25-2011 good idea, Bill.
