HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - cjs - 02-04-2012 I did a search and I guess I never posted it, but did I by chance EVER send "Roy's Spice Blend" to anyone on here?? He loves it and I made a large (spice size large) jar of it for him a year or two ago and now it's almost empty. I can't find the what I did. He's going to be so disappointed. Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - DFen911 - 02-04-2012 Was this it? 4 tablespoons salt * 1 tablespoon black pepper * 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion * 1/2 tablespoon dried garlic * 1/2 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes * 1/2 tablespoon dried thyme * 1/2 tablespoon dried rosemary * 1/2 tablespoon dried fennel 1. Combine all in a Ziploc bag or shaker and mix thoroughly. Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - cjs - 02-04-2012 No, darn it - no dehydrated onion. but, I may try this..... thanks Denise. Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - DFen911 - 02-04-2012 Well drats...lol this is one you gave me Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - pjcooks - 02-04-2012 Quote: I was looking and I have the same one Denise posted. Son #2 loved it as a dipping oil. PJ Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - cjs - 02-04-2012 Well, maybe I'll go back to that one and sneak it in..... thanks. Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - Mare749 - 02-04-2012 Jean, is it your Cajun seasoning blend, the one you sent me in the mail? Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - cjs - 02-04-2012 No, that's not it either. ( didn't remember I've made so many spice blends. better get them organized) Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - Gourmet_Mom - 02-07-2012 It's not in one of your books, Jean? The only one I have is your taco one and the Cajun one Maryann mentioned. What does he use it on? Maybe it's buried in a recipe one of us may have? Re: HELP - Lost a D*amn Recipe - cjs - 02-08-2012 I did find it and it is so simple, I'm embarassed that I didn't just remember it. But, for him it is perfect for his eggs and adding to his breakfast leftovrs (the only meal he's on his own to fix) Roy's Seasoning Mix 2 parts salt 2 parts black pepper 1 part gran. garlic 1 part gran. onion that's all it is. And, now I at least have it on here... |
