Strange dessert I just had to try - labradors - 02-29-2012 When I was in Guatemala, one of the supermarkets had a couple of ice-cream stores and one of them had a combination that was strange enough that I just had to try it: a Doughnut/Waffle-Cone Sundae. Here's how it was assembled: Waffle cone Peach sundae topping put INTO the cone A scoop of ice cream A hot, glazed doughnut similar to a Krispy Kreme (held on with a popsicle stick poked through it into the ice cream) Whipped cream Maraschino cherries It was delicious, although I would say that, just by the way it's constructed, that it doesn't really combine together as well as a sundae in a bowl would.
