I am thinking of trying a new to me recipe for Sombrero Pot Pie

has corn meal in crust and filling of gr beef, onion, green pepper, and spices and tomatoes, sounds good to me. can make early and have ready.

That sounds delicious, Marye!

It's a gorgeous day here, so I'm thinking it will be grilled steak and salad.

A new one; 'Southwestern Sloppy Joe', from the Cuisine at Home Sandwiches & Salads cookbook.

A crockpot dinner tonight...kielbasa and sauerkraut. It's been cooking all day, and everything looks nice and caramel colored. I'm serving it with some pretzel rolls I made and froze.

Tonight was church night. They served lasagna. It wasn't so bad for frozen.

Same here. In the restaurant where I worked, pretzel rolls (made for us by a local artisan baker) were among the varieties we always had on hand to offer as the bread to use for sandwiches. Visitors from Germany and Austria always commented that the rolls reminded them of what they would get in their home countries.

They made great sandwiches and I loved them. I have seen several recipes on the Web, but haven't tried making them yet, so it would be great to have a recipe that someone here has already used successfully.
