VOT- Kennedy Center Honors - Gourmet_Mom - 12-27-2012
Did anybody see this last night? Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart did an incredible performance of Led Zepplin's song, "Stairway to Heaven" that blew me away! The son of the band's former drummer played drums for the song. I have always LOVED this song and can even do it passable justice on the piano. I used to play it after school sometimes after a particularly bad day....great stress reliever...LOL!
Anyway, it's not a great copy, but if you google Kennedy Honors 2012, there are quite a few You Tube copies out there if anyone is interested. "Zeppelin was among several other Kennedy Center honorees that included Dustin Hoffman, talk-show host David Letterman, guitarist Buddy Guy and ballerina Natalia Makarova." The film footage of Makarova's dance career was also fascinating.

Bill, his presence is what almost made me change the channel, but then I saw that Led Zepplin was there and decided to tough it out. Mercifully, his honor was very short....LOL!
