DH surprised me with bacon wrapped filets and a Costco Parisien salad, which I'd never had and was very good with the addition of pear, avocado and toasted pine nuts. He used CI's better than A-1 marinade and pan seared them in a SS pan with a SS DO on top first then oven. They were amazingly good, moist, tender, and flavorful. I ended up having 2 and forgoing any starch or bread, just had the salad with them. I was going to make myself my mon's walnut torte with meringue and homemade chocolate syrup but want to get fresh walnuts. We are planning to go out to celebrate with my SIL Wednesday, so the filets were a wonderful surprise. So far a very good day.
