What's on the menu for everyone today??
I'm throwing a dinner party - an early one for Roy's Birthday (it's on Nov.1st) It was going to be a last minute party for about 12, but life and commitments got in the way, so cancelled it but 2 of our friends said since they'd already acceptec, they were coming anyway!!!
So, I'm having a small dinner party for four!!

Nice menu!
Still working on that chicken. Making some chicken noodle soup. The weather is about as fallish as it will ever be here - mixture of sun and clouds and a high of 63.

We're having roast chicken tonight too. I am not sure on sides yet. I have some tarragon and other herbs from my "garden" in WA so perhaps an herb butter under the skin.
One of the 4 negatives here is the lack of a reasonable grocery store. There is one, but it's pricey. We drove to Eureka (80 miles)yesterday and did a "shopping" at Winco. We won't be doing that run weekly so storage becomes an issue. Oh well.

I've never had gator, does it taste like chicken?

Jean, that sounds wonderful! We love gator bites--grilled or fried--they're delicious!
We're having someone's b-day dinner tonight. Of course, I ran out of gas halfway through grilling, so the steaks were a little overdone, but it was still yummy!

The dinner was wonderful!!! I posted the recipe links in Marye's Holiday thread because all the dishes will be great for entertaining - they're all do ahead also.
