Slow Cooker Pork Pho - esgunn - 11-12-2013

I made the Pork Pho from Vol 2 of the slow cooker menus book last night. It turned out pretty good. I have only ever had pho one other time and it wasn't very flavorful. Two out of three kids liked this. I don't think Nicky liked the cinnamon/Star Anise flavor in the broth. We liked it though. It is a little more thoughtful prep - Saute vegis and set broth and pork to chill in slow cooker overnight. Then cook on low for 10 to 12 hours next day. But it made the next day easier.

I love pho and have not made it for a long time.

I love it too, but have only made it a few times. It's one of those dishes that I love to go out for to an authentic Vietnamese place because I haven't been able to make it quite like they do.

Great picture! We love it, and make it quite regularly, as it is very versatile.
