Finally, A Dinner Party - cjs - 03-05-2014 I think its been almost 2 years since I've given a dinner party - mostly because they usually happen in the winter and we've been on the road the last couple years. But, since we're home and we owe everyone in town a dinner, I'm having one Saturday! How fun to do this again - china and crystal are sparkling, going thru all my cupboards for goodies I like to use for entertaining and have forgotten about.... My menu is finally set in stone (remember how we used to change them up to the last day, Lorraine??? ) Winter Dinner Party Saturday, March 8, 2014 Our menu Baked Prosciutto and Brie with Apple Butter Schloss Biebrich Sekt Fennel, Frisée, and Escarole Salad 18-Hour Bread/G.F. What a wonderful party to plan for and execute! I notice you have GF bread on there, is this just to provide an alternative or is your whole meal GF? PJ Re: Finally, A Dinner Party - cjs - 03-05-2014 No! Not the whole meal, thank God. One of the guests needs G.F. and I wanted her to be able to taste each course and the hors is a crostini so I needed to do something. Also, since I'm having 18 hour bread for the salad and entree, I thought I'd carry the option thru for her. This bread is not bad, but I'll only make it again if needed, probably. Re: Finally, A Dinner Party - Harborwitch - 03-05-2014 The menu sounds wonderful Jean. I'm drooling over it. Re: Finally, A Dinner Party - Gourmet_Mom - 03-05-2014 I'm so envious! It sounds great! Re: Finally, A Dinner Party - cjs - 03-06-2014 Thanks, it's going to be a fun one, I think. Re: Finally, A Dinner Party - Mare749 - 03-06-2014 Wow, that menu is a work of art. I really envy your guests, Jean. Very impressive and well thought out. Have a wonderful time! Re: Finally, A Dinner Party - Gourmet_Mom - 03-06-2014 How many are you expecting for dinner?
