Food Fighters on NBC - DFen911 - 08-06-2014
Anyone watching this series? I've watched the first 4 episodes waiting to see Eric Greenspan who I think is on next week. Anyway I have to say that watching all these home cooks beat these big powerhouse chefs is interesting. If I was one of these chefs who lost against a home cook I'd be hard pressed to explain to my cliental, whom I charge big bucks to come to one of my restaurants why they have to pay so much. I'd be very interested to see what, if any, fallout they have incurred.
"Hey didn't you get owned by a home cook on that TV show? Maybe I should go to her house because she wiped the floor with all 5 of you!"

We watched the first episode also. Not sure we'll watch anymore.
20 minute time limit + type dish never done before (except the tuna) + over-thinking = disaster.
versus - favorite recipes of home cooks that have been done numerous times.
