Looking for suggestions please - Mare749 - 10-05-2015 A good friend of ours went into the hospital last Monday to have a heart cath and ended up having triple by-pass surgery on Tuesday. He is hoping to be released today. He is also diabetic. I would like to take a meal over to them but am having a hard time figuring out what to make. He doesn't like most vegetables, and won't eat brown rice or whole wheat pasta. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated! Re: Looking for suggestions please - cjs - 10-05-2015 Maryann, please do a search on here for - "Joseph Piscatella" "Don't Eat Your Heart Out" "Choices for a Healthy Heart" These two books have gotten me thru so many times I needed to be VERY careful. These recipes/dishes are healthy enough for a Diabetic, also. Good Luck - what a good friend you are!! Re: Looking for suggestions please - Gourmet_Mom - 10-05-2015 Not having needed to deal with diabetes, I no help. But you may want to try the diabetes association website.
