That looks really, really yummy. Looking forward to trying this.

Re: Balloon Bread - cjs - 04-29-2016

I meant to say in the above post - 'it wasn't a complete success!"

With a bowl of soup on a rainy night????

Re: Balloon Bread - Mare749 - 04-29-2016

It looks successful enough for me, Jean. If you slice it, does it have a pocket? That would make a great sandwich.

Re: Balloon Bread - cjs - 04-29-2016

No, can't slice it - more of a cracker round. We just broke it up into smaller crackers. Really neat. It's crispy, crispy.

Re: Balloon Bread - Gourmet_Mom - 04-29-2016

I had a feeling you meant wasn't. So from the weight measure you noted, I'm guessing you think the smaller size of the dough kept it from "poofing" out all the way?

Re: Balloon Bread - cjs - 04-30-2016

No, I don't know why it didn't 'poof' - 1.6 just didn't give us enough of the 'cracker'

Re: Balloon Bread - Gourmet_Mom - 04-30-2016

That good huh? I'm adding pizza to the May Menu Ideas, so I want to be sure to put the "bread" with it to go with our salad. Can you believe it's almost May?!?!?!

Re: Balloon Bread - cjs - 04-30-2016

NO!!!!

Re: Balloon Bread - cjs - 05-02-2016

Finally, the balloon bread worked!! It was so good as a cracker with the pasta!

Daphne, here is also a picture of the bread broken into - I think you were having a problem visioning it.

Thanks, Jean! I was! Do you think it would hold up to filling it like a pita?
