We are going to be firing up the smoker soon - pastrami is going in - a brisket and a round, perhaps we'll throw the duck in today. I know I want to smoke some honey.

I thnk we'll do something with our pastrami for dinner. I have some English peas from the farmer's market and we will have 2 duck breasts. Perhaps something with them? At this point I need my tea to get this brain fired up.

We are going out to the campground where our girls have their trailer. We are suppose to go out to this place for dinner:

They have excellent food, but it's very hard to find something "healthy" on their menu and I'm trying very hard to eat a bit "lighter".

That's my kind of menu!

Today it's Italian grinders.

It all looks delicious! But you're right about all the rich food! Good luck, Maryann!

I'm doing my Korean Beef with plain rice topped with a veggie stir fry.

I know what I would get Maryann and both options would be fairly healthy (I think!).

Either the barramundi in the tomato chardonnay sauce (I had something similar to these recently and it was awesome), or the sashimi salad.

Tony smoked a brisket a few weeks ago and we froze some so we're having sliced brisket with homemade creamed corn and au gratin potatoes.

Trixxee, are you using the Pioneer Woman recipe for the corn?

I need to add that to the menu next week. Food Lion has large beautiful ears of corn on sale right now for 5 for a dollar! We had some last night and it is delicious!!!

I use Gulliver's Restaurant's recipe (minus the MSG). I have been for about 25 years. I'll have to look up PW's.
