I have 2 bones and a bit of juice to play with. It was a 4.3 lb roast including bones. I love a bone in prime rib

Re think it! It's got my cooking juices going again. We did New York Strip steaks for 2 hours at 130, cooled them down and then hit the grill with them for a quick sear. They were awesome. One of the gentlemen on the Anovafoodnerds page put a stuffed chicken breast (cheese) in a bag & sealed it up, same with leftover mashed potatoes, and some frozen peas. They all went in at 147 and in 90 minutes dinner was ready. I'm going to try that one. I love the flank steak or skirt steak - in before I go to work, done when I get home!

I hadn't put two & two together before, but in the early 2000s when I was in culinary school, I would pkg up meals in the food saver and Roy would put in a simmering pot of water to heat up and have a weekly tele conversation with Tracie while his dinner was heating. Same principle, only now control over the temp of heating.

I think we will be doing Michael's graduation dinner review tonight if I get to the store. Have to go check on the in-laws. Today I made them baked ziti with meatballs. Also made peanut butter cookies for them this morning.

Tonight is going to be tacos with the left over flank steak and cabbage pico.  I have pinto beans and hominy so I might make a warm "salad" with them and some chopped jalapenos and onions.  We were going to have them last night but Jeff and Bob and I decided on dressing up a couple gluten free cheese pizzas.  Bob did them in the pizza oven on the grill and they were amazing.

Today is our big shopping trip day with Costco included so it could all change.

Sunday Dinner, 7/2/17??

What's for dinner today??

Just took some ribs and pork loin chops out of freezer for a couple of 'piggy' days - not sure what I'll do with either.

Darn it, Maryann - can't get p.nut butter cookies out of my head! But, we have some chocolate cupcakes which need to be eaten first. Sad

I'm really trying to stay out of them, Jean. Ron is sure enjoying what's left after giving away 3/4 of the batch.

We are going up the street to a community park for a town concert and fireworks to celebrate the 4th and the grand opening of a new "splash pad" playground for the kids. So Heather and I were thinking of packing up a picnic basket to take along, sub sandwiches, pasta salad, and cut up fruit.
