Gnocchi - Bizymomma - 08-07-2006 For those of you that fix/have gnocchi, what is your favorite way to serve them? Re: Gnocchi - Old Bay - 08-07-2006 I like them with Hunters Chicken with a Marsala sauce on a fall or winters evening. They are pretty heavy. They are also good with pesto. Another version - saute up some shallots, leeks; add some mushrooms and finish off with heavy cream and a couple sage leaves torn up. Oh my, gnocchi is a good thing. Re: Gnocchi - Old Bay - 08-07-2006 Not on the subject, but I just noticed that I may be the ony participant in this forum without a tag--have I fallen from grace? I'm sensitive you know. Re: Gnocchi - Bizymomma - 08-07-2006 Nope....Roxanne & Cis don't have one either! Re: Gnocchi - esgunn - 08-07-2006 Not that I post very often - but I don't have one either. Been around too long. Re: Gnocchi - farnfam - 08-07-2006 Ang, I've never done potato gnocchi. I'd love to see the purple ones. Be sure to show us a pix if you decide to use them. The ones we make are from ricotta chese and we serve them with a spicey tomato sauce (meatless) with a big salad of Romaine, baby spinach, radicchio, black olives and anchovies with oil and red vinegear. Speaking of ricotta, every part of the country I've been in they say it differently. How do you all say it?? Cis Re: Gnocchi - cjs - 08-08-2006 tomato - tomawtao ricotta - reecoatto (or something like that... ) Post deleted by sysadmin - - 08-08-2006 |
