Treats for the Nurses - bjcotton - 03-14-2007

The nurses that handle the chemo for Fredia are always providing cookies, cakes, snack items for the patients. Well, the last time we were there I had just seen one of Paula's Party shows and she had made Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding. So I mentioned I was going to give it a try and the nurses were positively drooling. So, this coming weekend I'm going to make it with Butter Rum Sauce and take it in for them. I'm going to have to make a BIG batch so there will be some for the patients too. I'll post the recipe for those that want it...right after you eat some, go see your dentist to have the cavities filled

This sounds so unbelievably good, I just might have to try it even though I'm not a huge fan of making desserts. Hope you will let us know how this turns out.

Glad to see your back online!

Usually I'd agree with you but I just spent the last 11 hours making 2500 sandwiches, (700 left to go) so it sounds pretty good at the moment!

Why don't you make a couple of cakes billy, you are a good cakeist. I have never had a Krispy Cream dougnut. They aren't here (yet).

Re: Treats for the Nurses - bjcotton - 03-15-2007

I was thinking of doing that Dale. The Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding and one of my "Best Ever Carrot Cakes." Of course I'd have to make three carrot cakes, one for my sisters, one for the Truck Farmers and one for the nurses. When I make the one for the Truck Farmers I use pecans because he is allergic to walnuts.

OH Billyj, you are going to be so happy, making cake for all those folks and making them Sooo Happy. Wish I lived nearby, I'd sneak a bit of each
