Salmon Spread/Dip With a Twist - cjs - 08-27-2007 I swear this is the last post I'm making - I've got to go get something done, even if I am retired!! For those who like to make a salmon spread for appys, I had some leftover corn in the frig and added it to mine - it is great!!! If you don't, this is what I put in mine - no recipe just as taste dictates. Smoked salmon, shredded cream cheese creme fraiche (if I have it, if not, a little sour cream, or mayo if it needs thinning a tad) capers chives lemon juice pinch of cayenne and now, corn!! It's really a lovely flavor. We even spread some on halved hard-cooked eggs and it was a nice combination also. Now, I'm off to make some meatballs and do some washing... At the family reunion this weekend my brother, Dave, brought two containers of salmon dip...it was like hogs at a trough. They bugged me until I tasted it and then shudders shook my whole body.
