Instant Cappuccino? - Gourmet_Mom - 12-18-2007

I am going to make instant hot cocoa mix for friends Friday...found the cutest mugs so decided on cocoa and cookie baskets for the first time in years. I was wondering, does anyone have an instant Cappuccino or my old fave International Foods Hazelnut Belgian Cafe instant recipe? I thought the adults in the family would like something with a little more "kick". Although, the addition of a small bottle of Frangelica would do the trick I think...or not? And yes, I did think of just getting a can of the stuff and put in there...LOL!

Here are a few cappucino recipes:

Instant Cappucino Mix

1 cup powdered chocolate milk mix
3/4 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1/2 cup instant coffee granules
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instant Cappucino

3/4 cup powdered chocolate drink mix
1 cup instant coffee granules
1 cup confectioners' sugar 4 cups powdered milk
1/2 (7 ounce) jar nondairy amaretto-flavored creamer

In a large bowl, combine chocolate drink mix, instant coffee, confectioners' sugar, powdered milk and nondairy creamer. Store in an airtight container.
To serve, Stir 3 tablespoons mixture with 6 ounces boiling water.

I haven't tried them, but they look good. Perhaps add some hazelnut liquer to get your hazelnut fix!

Jean, that's perfect! I know they'll love it. I'll have to make me a batch as well!

Erin, I have copied and saved yours as well. I'll definitely compare to the one I have, but LOVE the idea of the peppermints and stuff to add to the basket to make the cocoa special! And God bless you...I just noticed your name at the bottom and the "Proud mother of 3 five year olds"!
