Re: Need Ideas for Super Bowl Menu - Old Bay - 01-08-2008 Texas Caviar 1 lb cooked and drained blackeyed peas (or field peas) salt & pepper to taste 1/2 C corn oil 2 medium onions, finely chopped 1 red & 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped 1 jalepeno & 1 serrano pepper with seeds finely chopped Juice from 1-2 limes 1 bunch chopped cilantro (thick stems removed) Whip the lime juice and oil together--add to all other ingredients mix --let sit a few hours or overnite. Serve with corn chips or -- Especially good if the Cowboys are there--How "bout" Tony Romo!?!
