Creamy Italian Salad Dressing - cjs - 05-27-2008 This is not my favorite dressing, so when I need to make it for a party, I usually just buy a wishbone dry Italian mix and just start adding herbs, mayo/sour cream. But, does anyone have a recipe from scratch that you particularly like? Need to have a basic in the dressing 'library' - thanks for any help. Re: Creamy Italian Salad Dressing - DFen911 - 05-27-2008 I usually just use a mixture of creme fraiche, mayo, evo and a lot of italian herbs with some sherry vinegar or lemon juice for the acid. Oddly enough I have better luck with dried herbs as when they mix with the mayo and such they release their flavors. I will add fresh the day of for the bright green appearance. Re: Creamy Italian Salad Dressing - cjs - 05-27-2008 Thanks Denise, better play tonight with it! |
