See, there is a good reason to get up early in the morning . . . you get to be the first to send out the birthday wishes! So here's to all the best for Jean and Barbara! Hope you get to spend the day doing exactly as you wish and that somebody either takes you out to dinner tonight or makes a wonderful dinner at home for you!

Today is travel day (to Portland), but we're taking our T-Bones, potatoes for grilled fries, and fruit for a fruit platter and maybe even pick up some sushi for an hors. The bottle of Schramsburg Cremant is packed!!
My birthday dinner will be on the deck of a houseboat in the setting sun on the mighty Columbia river - sans the houseboat owner, he has work committments, so just Roy and me!! (and whoever sails by
