Fredia's Favorite Tree (?) - bjcotton - 05-30-2008 This was Fredia's favorite Snowball bush. I had kept trimming it until it more closely resembles a small tree. The Snowball has NEVER bloomed so heavily...she must be nuturing it. That is my little Bay tree to the right and Buddy's butt to the left Re: Fredia's Favorite Tree (?) - Harborwitch - 05-30-2008 What a beautiful tree/bush. I've never seen one of those. I'd have recognized Buddy's butt anywhere Hopefully we're going to get another of our dwarf citrus trees this weekend. Hoping for the lemon or lime. I guess I'm going to have to put a Bay tree on the list too. Re: Fredia's Favorite Tree (?) - bjcotton - 05-30-2008 When it was so hot here, my bay got sunburned. I was out clipping off the burned leaves and the scent that arose was just heavenly. The leaves are packed so densely I often go out and thin them just to smell that scent. Isn't that Snowball just beautiful? Re: Fredia's Favorite Tree (?) - Harborwitch - 05-30-2008 It is more than beautiful. I'm sure Fredia is watching over it carefully making sure that it's beauty will always remind you of her's. Re: Fredia's Favorite Tree (?) - Gourmet_Mom - 05-30-2008 What a beautiful bush and wonderful tribute to your sister Billy! Good things to remember her by. Re: Fredia's Favorite Tree (?) - Gourmet_Mom - 06-01-2008 You know, I never thought about it, but a snowball bush DOES have blooms like a popcorn tree. I guess I've just never noticed them until the tree produces the "popcorn". |
