Re: Shrimp Toasts - labradors - 10-08-2008 Gee, and I thought a shrimp toast would be "May evade the fish and the fishermen, and may the current always be at your back." Re: Shrimp Toasts - cjs - 10-08-2008 yes....you would. Re: Shrimp Toasts - labradors - 10-08-2008 LOL! Re: Shrimp Toasts - luvnit - 10-08-2008 I am making this recipe AGAIN for company on Friday! It is very easy, very good and guests are very impressed! Re: Shrimp Toasts - farnfam - 10-08-2008 I'm trying to imagine how this recipe works. How does it puff? Cis Re: Shrimp Toasts - labradors - 10-08-2008 Quote: Probably the egg yolks. Re: Shrimp Toasts - Gourmet_Mom - 10-08-2008 Cis, I don't know, but I think labs may be right. I had an old mashed potato casserole that used a small package of cream cheese, egg yolk, and chive that puffed. BUT, I also think the cream cheese has a little to do with it, too. Think about a cheesecake. Thanks again, Jean! This sounds so good! I'm testing this for holiday menu really soon! Re: Shrimp Toasts - labradors - 10-08-2008 Quote: Even more, think about a soufflé, omelet, Yorkshire pudding, etc., or even just the difference an egg makes in a cookie dough. Re: Shrimp Toasts - farnfam - 10-08-2008 Okay, sounds good. Puffy toast with shrimps I'm all over it. Cis |
