Good Bloody Marys - cjs - 11-21-2009 We stopped at a bar in Kona, I think and had one of the best Bloody Marys I've ever tasted. The bartender says all he uses is Demitri's mix and adds a little o.j. Rims with kosher. Here's the website - I'm going to order some of this stuff, it's great. http://www.demitris.com/home Re: Good Bloody Marys - Harborwitch - 11-21-2009 Looks interesting - we may have to try some. Did you check the ingredients? I hate buying the commercial mixes in the stores because they're all loaded with HFCS - I know Bob would love to have a good mix. Re: Good Bloody Marys - DFen911 - 11-21-2009 Rim glass with fresh lemon juice and tip into celery salt or regular course salt. Fill tall glass with 3/4 ice. Add 1 tbl celery salt, 4 dashes of Worcestershire sauce, a few turns of fresh black pepper, 1 tsp fresh lemon juice, 1-5 dashes of tabasco (depending on how hot you want it). Add 2 jiggers of your favorite vodka and top with chilled tomato juice. My favorite garnish is to take a large boiled shrimp and in the curve part place a stuffed green olive and skewer it and lay it on top of the glass along with a slender celery stick for stirring. Now if you want to get really creative take a 750ml bottle of your favorite vodka. Add one 4" sprig of rosemary, 2-3 sprigs of oregano, and let set for 6 months. Use this vodka for a really flavorful bloodymary. Re: Good Bloody Marys - mjkcooking - 11-22-2009 Bloody Mary's are my very favorite - I had forgotten about Demistris mix - it is very good - will have to get some more. I also have my brothers mix which I will post.
