Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - luvnit - 02-06-2010 I am sure I am not the first person to come up with this, but I will show you all anyway. And if all of you have been doing this for years, I will just have to flog myself! These were really good and kept my eggs all neat and tidy, without using the egg mold I normally use. No messy egg mold to clean up either! Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - cjs - 02-06-2010 Hey, good idea there. And, we like the no extra dishes to wash! Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - Gourmet_Mom - 02-06-2010 How cute! Good idea, Laura! Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - chef_Tab - 02-06-2010 how clever! did you flip them? Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - Old Bay - 02-06-2010 Great idea!! I'll bet a thick large sweet onion ring would work too. Thanks for sharing. Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - HomeCulinarian - 02-06-2010 That is a great idea and you are the first person I know to have come up with it! Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - Lorraine - 02-06-2010 We like peppers. Thanks for the idea. Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - luvnit - 02-06-2010 Quote: No, I didn't flip them. I did put a cover on and after a bit added a bit of water for steam. You can't see it well but the peppers are cout about 1/2"-3/4" thick. They seemed to soften really nicely too. Musta been the steam. Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - Mare749 - 02-06-2010 I love this idea. How long did you cook them? I'm guessing 4-5 minutes? Re: Eggs in Pepper Ring Mold - cjs - 02-06-2010 oh my, thick red onion slices sound really good too!! |
