What's for Dinner, Monday, 12/27??

Back to normal, a little. What's on the menu for everyone? Leftovers?

We'll be on the road to San Antonio in a few hours. Our dinner will be leftovers - we had a very good dinner at a winery that the four of us had a tour and then dinner last night. I had a wonderful Shrimp Scampi pizza and I managed to eat one piece of it - we have been so well fed the last 5 days, we were full to bursting.

Can't really describe the great time we've had here in Navasota with all of the Miller clan. Even with all the trials & tribulations - and we weren't the only ones with that little dark cloud hovering over us. This coming week there will be a parade of electrician, plumber, and a garage door fixer-upper stopping by the Miller abode....

This is my last week of eating things I have no business eating - LOL. I would like to make the pimento bacon burgrs. It's sunny, so why not? I had a pimento slider at a southern bbq restaurant last week and I fell in love with it. And I know I can make it even better at home.

I've got the big 'ol ham bone leftover from Christmas Eve, so I'm making bean soup sometime, but might not have it done in time for dinner since I have some errands to do today. So, I have to come up with plan B while I'm at the store.

So what happened at Bill and Jane's?

Oh my - poor Bill & Jane! Sounds like our weekend. Walter managed to tear the stitches and drain out of his eye (WTH) and I have to run to Fairfield for a Stress Echocardiogram. As soon as we can after that we have to take Walter to the vet.

We grabbed a little ribeye to share with a big salad with pears and gorgonzola, and perhaps some grill bread.

Travel safely Jean - if you get by this way holler!

I'll let him tell his tale of woe - but, we got to San Antonio with no problems. sign of the cross, crossed fingers and anything else I can think of to ward off the little black cloud.

Oh no sure I like the sound of that

As for us here roasting some chicken breast in a new spice blend I got, then going to make a sauce out of the drippings and pour it over pasta. Also making some homemade herbed bread or french can't decide which yet. Shoot that reminds me gotta head to the store for more yeast
