Sold the farm!!!

  Re: (...)
The last 3 weeks have been insane. We were still working on getting the farm ready for sale when a neighbor called to ask if we had signed with a realtor yet. We hadn't, and she passed our name along to a friend who she thought may have been interested. The couple came over last Saturday, and made an offer yesterday. They are the absolutely perfect buyers for this home that we have worked on for the past 30 years. They love old houses and want all of the land (50 acres) to maintain stewardship of the property, and to create a homestead for them, their children, and generations afterward. Pinch me!!!

I should be back to regular posting soon.

Congrats. Better that you sold the farm and not bought the farm.

Vicci that is wonderful news! It's great that they appreciate the value of holding the house and the land for future generations of their family!

Now you can get on to normal living! Congratulations!

Vicci,

Great news! It's either a "Go" or "It Sits" kinda market. Thank goodness we were able to sell the family home on the get go even if it was still "pure 1950's" without any remodeling work. You know, the pink, green, grey, yellow, and blue -tiled bathrooms and matching fixtures? We had them. We really thought we would have to set a price and reduce, but it sold on the Open House to someone who really loved the place. And the wife just had a baby after they moved in!

Good Karma!!
