ok I am back - to tell of the party
Jean they had a set of Marrow spoons - finally got to see what they look like interesting - a big spoon and a small spoon on the other end depending on the size of your bone. -(we didn't use them just looked at them)
We were all invited to a friend house where a chef cooked for us and we
helped too.
lots of great starters
Bread toasted served with compound butter
Stuffed miniature bell peppers with a shrimp/dip
thin meatloaf sliced with a mustard dip (grainey and smooth mustard mixeds)
cream cheese with shrimp over it and soy sauce and hot oil and sesame seeds
we had champaynes - three types - liked them all one was a pink processo
dinner was a
cuban dish - of fresh shrimp - home made Chrisco sausage with a red sauce
bell peppers sliced fresh pineapple chunks just delicious
yellow rice dish.
fried baby borro bananas - with cinnamon and brown sugar
black beans and ham
dessert was a chocolate moist cake with raspberry sauce - with mango and banans
diced up with jalapeno and cilantro delightful
I am sure I am not giving this its full justice but boy we had fun and such
good food.
and Jean I took this wine you recommend - can't remember name ( because of the Champayne) was a spanish red wine - a Tampanillo? does that ring a bell
was wonderful with dinner.
was a great evening with friends. and food!

Tempranillo - it is good, isn't it? What a fun dinner it must have been. The entree sounds delicious.
Marrow spoons....I'm so envious.

I really like Prosecco. Jean, I'll have to look for that wine down here. I need to get more, I've never seen a marrow spoon.
Practice safe lunch. Use a condiment.

I want them so bad!!! I have everyone I know looking for them for me that I don't have to spend the kid's inheritance...ha, ha, ha (little do they know I really will be spending it
)
My niece, Lynnie, just started a business in Seattle, organizing estate sales (and has it ever taken off!) and she's looking for them for me also.
Here they are Lorraine -
