blanching almonds

what are blanched almonds, and how do I blanch almonds? I need 3 TBS of blanched items for a fruit tart crust. Thanx.

Blanched almonds are almonds with the skins removed.

I have never done it myself. I usually buy the blanched slivered almonds in the baking section.

Chop, I do the same. They are with the other nuts in the baking section in a small 1/2 cup package at my grocery store.
