What's on the menu for today, everyone?

Haven't a clue here, darn - doing a dessert for a party means no good leftovers for next day!!

We're having birthday party food at Heather's. Tommy turns 4! I think she is ordering pizza and wings and making a salad. And, of course, birthday cake.

Been there, loved it.

I am making the barbecue braised chicken thighs I made a while back (pineapple and orange juices, ginger, soy sauce, a little ketchup, etc.). Roasted asparagus and steamed rice. Dutch oven works well for this recipe.

Yeah, I would have to agree, Jean! They are making the rest of us look like loafers. Got to get on the band-wagon. They are eating much better than we are these days.

For lunch we found leftover rare hanger steak, sliced thin, seasoned again, briefly sauteed in canola oil, made some pico (da-n that pepper was hot!!), warmed some tortillas, OMG, what leftovers!!!
