I don't think Challah freezes very well, so looked for some other uses and found an easy peasy dessert - Maple Bread Pudding that came together in about 5 minutes and left on it's own devices in a double-boiler for an hour. How easy is that!! And very tasty.

We always got firebricks at a place that sells woodstoves or I would imagine a place that sells cement blocks. Surely you guys have something like that around.

That bread is stunningly beautiful Jean! Honestly, between you and Blane, I would think you were food stylists, doctoring up the presentations, but we all know better! You guys are the real stuff!
