Creamed chicken sandwiches

Hi everyone.
Have a request. For a old recipe. Was used in the 50 and 60
Served at town functions. Maybe a fundraiser or big pot lucks.

My Iowa group has brought it up but doesn't remember exactly how it went.

Called. Creamed chicken sandwiches. Do you have a recipe ?

Tried and true I only remember having chili or maid rites in big batches and getogathers
