The 3rd & ready!!!...almost! LOL

Okay, just finished adding the last leches to my "tres leches" cake! It looks and smells great! Can't wait to crack into that tomorrow! No fresh blueberries, so I bought some frozen ones. Plan to add fresh strawberries and rasberries! I've wanted to try this for a while. I'm not a big dessert fixer, so I was waiting for the opportunity!

I also made the Root Beer BBQ sauce today. Figure that will be one less thing to do tomorrow! Here's my official menu for the 4th:

Pulled Pork w/ Root Beer BBQ Sauce (C@H)
Smoked Chicken (brining now in the fridge)
Smoked Brisket (Trying OldBay's spice rub)

Sounds like a wonderful and fun 4th menu. I picked up a beautiful brisket the other day, so will probably do it today (the 4th) also. Bill's rub...did he use it with the Smoked recipe in #58? I'll go look.

I'll just add my "Happy (and safe) 4th of July" to everyone also!
