...or was it a Taco Salad Recipe??? I don't remember... But, here is the one I was thinking of anyway, I used to make it back in the 90s, should make again and see if I'm still as crazy about it as I was then...

HEATHER'S VERSION OF MEXICAN LINDO'S TOSTADA

Fry until crisp (or bake) a corn or flour tortilla. Top with:
hot refried beans
finely shredded iceberg lettuce
chopped green onion
shredded Monterey Jack cheese

and this dressing:
Mix 1/4 cup oil - olive
2 T. Balsamic vinegar
2 T. sugar ( or Equal to taste)
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
lots of fresh ground pepper
pinch of dried Mexican oregano

Shake well & pour over. Taste and add more vinegar if you like. It's great! The tostada should be swimming in the dressing. Pass the salsa verde.

NOTE: for low-fat variety switch the oil to spring water & it still tastes good!

Lost Tostado Recipe cjs ...or was it a Taco ...
We've had tornado threats around here for the last week or so and I read this as lost tornado recipe. My 'pain killer' filled mind was trying to figure out if you had lost a recipe in a tornado or the recipe's name was Tornado.

That recipe sounds great! Right into MC.

Guess it's time for my rest.
