What's for Dinner, Sunday, Oct. 3?

What's on everyone's menu for tonight?

We're leaving for home this a.m., so will probably stop at the casino on the way for an early dinner.

Forgot to do a thread for Sat.'s dinner - we met an old school chum for dinner here in Yakima and just had a blast yaking. By rights, we should both have lost our voices we talked so much.
Retired and having fun writing cookbooks, tasting wine and sharing recipes with all my friends.

We came home to cold and rainy weather, so I'm thinking chili. Saw a recipe for black bean and pumpkin chili, so that might be the one.

Maryann, that sounds interesting. I'd love to know what you think of it. Is it vegetarian?

I'm doing the Pizza Stuffed Flank Steak from the August or October issue. I forget which. I have leftover Spinach Salad with Pine Nut dressing, so that will make the meal.

Got back from St. Louis for a good friend's daughter's wedding about 2, have tickets to Ithzak Perlman at 7:30 tonight, so not much time for cooking today. Took some Portillo's beef and gravy out of the freezer and made a batch of potato salad, so that will be our dinner.

Stopped at a really nice grocery store called Straub's in a St. Louis suburb. Wish I had one in our town! Bought a couple of Indian Blood Peaches and they were delicious for our afternoon snack.

Chicken Vindaloo. Funny, but it's exactly one week short of being a year since the first time I made it. LOL!
If blueberry muffins have blueberries in them, what do vegan muffins have?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can tell you what we ate for dinner a year ago! My family thinks I'm a bit odd....

We went out for dinner at a local steakhouse...one of those places where everything is really good, but nothing is memorable enough for me to crave going back. We had a really good time visiting with friends there, however.

"I'm glad I'm not the only one who can tell you what we ate for dinner a year ago!" You know, I've never looked, but I could probably tell what I had...I keep my menus in MC...LOL! I never thought about that!

Although, are you two doing it by memory? I'm guessing Labs has a notebook or computer program or both to record his dinners with notes. And considering Karyn's profession, I'm guessing a notebook.

Dinner is smelling divine! I got sidetracked with a phone call from Mom. Why is it she always calls at dinner, during one of my favorite shows, or bed time? I'll try to report later...if not, tomorrow.
