what is super fine sugar? Is it different from powdered, or confectioners', or granulated sugar? A recipe for sherbert that I am following is calling for this.

That's it. It's much finer than granulated - so it creams more easily and makes for much better quality.
You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!

you can put regular granulated sugar in a processor and pluse until it is superfine. then you don't have to buy it.

That's what I've done, Jean. Several of Gina's recipes that I've done calls for it. Worked fine for me.
