May Birthday Dinners?????
#8
  Re: (...)
It's the 8th already and no one has picked a birthday dinner for our birthdays!!

Linda (ibcookin) - May 11th
PJ - May 23rd
Maryann - May 25th
Jean - May 28th

So, what are we going to do? Linda is probably too busy this time of the year, and the others don't even visit anymore, so probably 3 reviews? Altho, it would be fun for Linda to join in. We don't have any in June, do we? so we can overrun.

PJ - May 9th to the 23rd, review date?
Maryann - May 23rd to June 6th review date?
Jean - June 6th to June 20th review date?

Does this wowrk?

Of course, Labs Mystery dinner can be worked in easily also.

Since I'm the last, I'm going to choose first, besides I'm older than dirt and I deserve a little respect...

Yakitori with Tare Sauce
Grilled Rice Cakes dipped in wasabi soy
Japanese Fresh pickles

Oh boy, does these sound good and fun. Who's next?

I'm so excited about that one. Either way, you two decide.

Jean, it's fine with me either way. If you want to do that one, I can always look for another one. That meal is one that I'm sure to be making anyway. So, you decide. And, I think your schedule is great. Hope PJ sees this.

Go for it, Maryann - I'll choose, all from Issue #87, these goodies

Appetizer - Pickled shrimp cocktail, page 32

Almond-Basil Crab Cakes with yogurt-caper sauce, page 25
Spaghetti squash with ricotta salata, page 25

This will be a fun month. C'mon, PJ, get onboard.

Okay, thanks Jean. I'll post the recipes some time this week. Hopefully, PJ will check in to pick her dinner.
