New Cook Book from Sister in Va.
#6
  Re: (...)

My sister just sent me a CookBook she got when they went to visit Lorraine

It's called Secrets from the White House Kitchens - it has recipes and lots of interesting notes about the presidents from Clinton back thru Truman
I haven't gotten to look completely at the cookbook. But looks like a fun read
and interesting recipes.

The Chef was on site signing the cookbooks that week end.

I'll let you know if I find any new recipes.

That's cool, Mayre. I've got the one that comes BEFORE that one. It covers from Washington to Thruman....I think? It's the White House Cookbook from a historical point of view.

Yes he has written several books -John R Hanny

I love the history of the cooking at the white house.

I have one of those floating around here somewhere - sounds like a fun read, Marye.

That sounds very interesting, Marye. I would love to hear a few "highlights" if you get a chance.
