Kids cooking

My oldest grandbaby, Katie, turned 9 today. Her mom posted this pic on FB. She is making her own birthday cake. In the second pic she is making treats to take to school tomorrow.
I think Katie has used that new KitchenAid more than her mommy has!

Edited to add: I thought this was so sweet. Just talked to Holly on the phone. Katie told her, "thank you, mommy, for making my birthday so much fun." That's my little baker!

You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!

Lorraine, it's such a shame that we live so far apart. Katie would absolutely love to help with the preparations. I don't think it will be very long before she starts cooking dinner!
