What's on the menu for everyone today?

We'll be running around all day, so have no idea, what, where, when.

My weekend project -

Ginger, Butter Cookies, No-bake Chocolate-P.Butter, White Pecan and Brown Sugar bars - Whew! 2 more and that's done! Took them all to the pizza party.

I am going to make the Milanese-Style chicken cutlets with roasted red pepper-tomato sauce from Issue No. 77 (October 2009). Have had this one earmarked for a couple of years now and haven't gotten to it yet. I hope to make some new things this week as Michael supposedly doesn't have any homework this week as a reward for raising money for their jog-a-thon but I'm not buying that for a second. Just call me Karnac but I can see them getting more classwork than usual which will turn into finishing at home.

I'm barbecueing chicken and having corn on the cob and green beans on the side. My corn from last year is almost gone, but local corn will soon start coming in. Ours will be late. We planted late and crows got a third of the plants as soon as they broke ground good!

Trixxee, could you let us know how the Milanese-Style chicken cutlets turn out? That's been on my radar for awhile also.

It's another gorgeous day here in western Washington, so I'm keeping it light tonight; Tandoori shrimp skewers with pineapple chutney, served on sesame rice cakes.

We're putting chicken strips on the grill, then they will go on Chicken Caesar Salad. Leftover Pineapple upside-down cake that my MIL made for yesterday.

We're thinking about going to the grand opening of the new Horseshoe Casino downtown. They are suppose to have great food there, but aren't opening until 9:30 tonight.

HappyH, I really hope you enjoy the kabobs. I like what you're doing with the rice, kicking it up a notch. I may have to copy your idea. Have a great trip.

Trixxee- Thank you!

This is so delicious. Tandoori shrimp with pineapple chutney.
