Don't spend it all in one place.
If blueberry muffins have blueberries in them, what do vegan muffins have?

After Uncle Sam takes his cut, your winnings will not be so lucrative, Nonetheless, congratulations on your windfall.

Funny you should say that.

Back in 2004, I hit the Pick-4 straight and boxed TWICE for close to $8000. Bought a snow-blower for the Hubby, paid bills, did something anonymously for someone, and not-so-anonymously for a few other peeps.

Knowing I had to pay taxes on the winnings, I started collecting as many "dead" lottery tickets as I could and enlisted help from my friends with bribes of these pecans I make. In the end, I collected more than enough to cover my winnings, sorted and totaled all the dead tickets in case of an audit - they're still in the basement in nice, neat bundles. Didn't have to pay a dime in taxes, and was never audited.

Word to the wise.

And scratch offs are even better since you can hold them over a year end - they don't know when you bought them, if they didn't win.

We already have a bunch of 'dead' tickets. But we have rolled over our winnings to the MN lottery tonight!
