Tuesday Dinner, 1/8/13??

What's on the menu for everyone today??

We're meeting up with my cousin and exploring around Apache Junction/Mesa area. A couple places I want to go -
Queen Creek Olive Mill - more olive oils
Orange Patch Too - supposed to be a great fruit stand
and a farmers market.

No telling what/where we'll eat.

P.S. I'm so proud - I have the start of my traveling herb garden

I think rosemary is the one herb I will never use dried, so started with it and I may go back and get another one - can't have too much, that's for sure. I'm a happy camper now. Rosemary pasta with the steaks later this week.

Oh yeah dinner. I forgot I had thawed out some hamburger to make the Noble Pig rigatoni recipe. But I want to make the pretzel dogs...

I am in a quandry.

Perhaps both!

Blackened chicken quesadillas with avocado salsa---C@H Sandwiches and Sides

First try with this so we shall see. Last night I did a Waldorf salad/side from the same magazine and it was great!

Jean cant wait to see how your garden progresses. I think that's a marvelous idea

Travel day for us final leg and we should be home early this evening. I'm thinking tonight's dinner may be hot dogs

Thanks Laura for the link - learned a new one. Don't over-fertilize for RV container plants. I had planned on doing what I do at home, but will scale it back.

Oh darn. Patty Melts - I have some grd. beef left in the freezer....

So, the adventure ends.... Time to start planning the next direction, Denise!!

Love Rosemary! I can't do flowers (allergies) so for Thanksgiving I make small arangements for the table of Rosemary and sage from my garden. I love it.

Dinner I think will be leftovers. I have Maple Dijon chicken, chinese orange beef and parmesan crusted chicken all left over. Sounds good to me.

Thanks Laura! The kids gave me (read I told Steve that I wanted] America's Test Kitchen Quick Family Cookbook for Christmas. I had everyone in the family pick one recipe last week.

Steph chose Turkey Sausage penne with spinach (no leftovers),

Nicholas chose Parmesan crusted chicken cutlets that I served with broccoli tomato salad from C@H,

Chris Chose Chinese Orange Beef

I chose Chicken enchilada rice casserole (used leftover smoked pork)

Steve chose Beef Kebabs with Chili Lime Rice. He ate the leftovers!

It took about a week and a half to work those in around gymnastics schedules and timing issues. But it was fun and they all had fun choosing.

I have the next few days worked out but Next weeks kid choices are:

Nick: Chicken Cordon Bleu Subs
Chris: Teriyaki Steak Tips
Steph: Easy Cheesy Hot Pockets - may make for a lunch.

We also got Celery Root in our produce box so Nicky googled Celery root recipes and picked Celery Root and Ginger Gold Apple Soup. So, I will work that in for a lunch or Dinner.
