Superbowl Plans?

Has anyone thought of what they are making for the Superbowl? If you watch that is.

We seem to do ribs every year and I think we might do that again - with the cherry cola glaze.

I saw kind of an easy, neat recipe for an appetizer - buffalo chicken biscuit poppers.

Oooo!! I want to do those ribs, too! But as I was looking through some C@H issues, I saw a recipe for French Onion Fondue that piqued my interest.

It will just be the four of us for the Superbowl this year. It just gets too late when you have kids. But that is our first official pizza party night.

So it will be pizza and the Trisha Yearwood Football Punch that I just saw on her show today. Gosh that looked really good. I will probably just halve it though.

Trisha Yearwood Green Punch

2 (.13-ounce) packets unsweetened Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid
2 cups sugar
1 (46-ounce) can pineapple juice
1 (12 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
32 ounces (1 quart) ginger ale

Put 2 quarts of water in a 1-gallon container.
Add the drink mix and sugar, and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the pineapple juice and lemonade concentrate; stir well.
Just before serving, add the ginger ale.

Thanks for the punch recipe, Laura. That sounds good.

Since Super Bowl is so close to Mardi Gras we are thinking of doing a Mardi Gras party that day. I have a cookbook from New Orleans that has a good recipe for shrimp creole, so that may be one of the dishes.

Hmmm, that punch does sound like it could handle a little something - may play with it also.

Busy work day for us, so it will probably be leftovers. On the good side, his team is playing!
Practice safe lunch. Use a condiment.
