BlueStar Freestanding Range & Ovens

I am just going to post this just in case it might help someone.

The BlueStar Range I have is wonderful and I DO love it. However, it has had one serious issue. I have had this range for about 4 years and my 36" oven door malfunctions. First, the hinge gets stuck, then you cannot open the oven door. The hinge gets bent and then puts pressure on the inside door panel. Eventually the entire door separates, and doesn't close properly.

This has happened to two oven doors since I have had this range. I contacted the company again and requested a new door. Of course, this time I asked for an explanation and I wanted to know how to keep this from happening AGAIN!

They were happy to send out another door. They told me it has been a problem with the hinge and they have a new manufacturer for the hinges now.

I don't think anyone here has this range, but you never know. Just passing on the info just in case it is helpful to someone.

Wow! That stinks.
You only live once . . . but if you do it right once should be enough!
